Thoughts on the disappearance of Caylee Marie Anthony

Caylee Marie Anthony
This post is purely my opinion. I could be wrong.

Anyone who watched On the Record with Greta Van Susteren last night probably has a lowered opinion of Cynthia Anthony after her whining, snide and uncalled for comments. Cynthia complained on the air that she'd had no sleep and she just hurt all over. In fact, out of over 10 minutes of air time she was allotted, she spent a full seven minutes moaning and groaning, sniping and berating, and telling the details of an alleged tip.

Then she refused to answer questions about her daughter, wanting to maintain the spotlight on Caylee, which in itself is commendable, but warning Greta VS to "just search in-side yourself before you ask a stupid question" and that "I know you have a job to do, but your job can take another turn tonight. I mean for the first time you might get some self-gratification for it." Unbelievable.

So I searched through the earlier news articles this morning and made some observations that have been passed over. Please review with me.

1. Cindy Anthony had a MySpace page prior to Caylee's disappearance. On that page, in a post shortly after Casey left, Cindy describes her mood as "distraught." She details the strained relationship she has with Casey.

"What does the mother get for giving her daughter all of these chances? A broken heart. The daughter who stole money, lots of money, leaves without warning and does not let her mother now speak to the baby that her mother raised, fed, clothed, sheltered, paid her medical bills," her blog posting reads.

According to more from that posting, Casey Anthony had criticized her mother for being too controlling and not giving her enough space.

This tells me that Cindy and Casey had an argument and Casey up and left, taking Caylee with her. Casey hadn't gotten her life together and set up an apartment, there was no plan for the future. She told her parents she was going to Jacksonville for an assignment with Universal and would take Caylee with her so they could bond.

Casey may have been jealous of her mothers attention towards Caylee. Maybe taking Caylee was simply punishing her mother for the argument. Instead of having a great job with "nanny" service, we now know she didn't have a job at all.

2. Caylee's 22-year-old mother told law enforcement she dropped off the child with a babysitter on June 9. The sitter, Zenaida (Zenny) Gonzalez, whom Anthony claims to have known for four years, had watched Caylee on and off over the last year and a half, Anthony said. Cindy says that Zenny has been part of normal household conversation for three years.

However, investigators have talked to the same Zenaida Gonzalez who frequented the clubs and bars Casey mentioned, and she told them she doesn't know the Anthony's and has never been a babysitter.

Where WAS Casey taking her all this time? Who DID babysit for Caylee while Casey went to her make-believe job? Casey's mother Cindy?

3. Long time family friend Amy Huizenga told one news agency "I am very, very close to the family. I was close to Casey." They were close, she said, until she recently accused Casey of stealing more than $700.

'Nuff" said.

4. All of Casey's friends have apparently given her up. It was a friend of Casey's that told Cindy that Casey was in Orlando, not Jacksonville, and that she did not have Caylee with her. This same friend gave Cindy the address where Casey was, which is how Cindy found her in the first place.

Several friends and both recent boyfriends notified police of their knowledge of the situation before law enforcement knew they existed. They all call Casey a habitual liar. No one claims her as a 'close' friend.

5. Probably the most revealing thing to me, is her behavior when police took her to Universal Studios and she played it out to the end. Leading them around, going to show them her office, going to show them her locker. Seems like that took a lot of gall to play it right down to a hallway where she finally admitted she had lost her job two years previously. That's how far she'll go to play your bluff.

What does that leave us? A young mother who is a liar and a thief at the least. No, that doesn't make one a murder, ordinarily. It just doesn't say anything positive about her.

I think the car is a big clue. Why walk away from your car, leave it to be towed, just for want of gas? Did she not want it to be known she was in that area? Did she assume the county would just notify her parents, since it was registered to them, and they would go pick it up? Could Caylee be buried in that area, or left in the brush? Where had she been coming from when she ran out of gas? Was that what made her snap? The thought that without money she would need her parents help again? Maybe Caylee asked for her grandma, was cranky and crying...

In the video where Casey is brought into the courtroom in the "82" t-shirt and in handcuffs, I would have sworn that when the doors opened and she saw all the camera's, a slight smile crossed her face.

And now the alleged phone call from Caylee that, if it was made to Casey on "Tuesday", as Cindy says, would have been the very evening that she was reported missing, July 15. Today being July 22, this is the second Tuesday involved. Caylee is too young to know her mothers cell phone number and how to call it, and it is just way to convenient for Caylee to call at the very hour that Cindy has confronted Casey.

It sure reminds me of Scott Peterson's phone call from "Paris" on New Years Eve. In fact, Casey's behavior is revealing more and more sociopathic tendencies, compulsive lying, sense of entitlement (theft), her sneakiness, and most of all, lack of empathy and concern for a beautiful little missing girl. Her own flesh and blood. Maybe she is not concerned because she knows that nothing more can happen to Caylee--that mommy had already done the worst...
