BAKER COUNTY, FL -- The Baker County Sheriff's Office arrested a man accused of stealing hundreds of dollars in reward money earmarked for the search for Haleigh Cummings.

Jeremy Leonard, 23, has been charged with grand theft. People at the Baker County bus garage, where Haleigh's maternal grandmother works as a bus driver, have been collecting money for the reward fund.

Authorities say sometime last Tuesday night, an envelope with $670 in cash disappeared from where it had been locked up. The Sheriff's office says Leonard was the only one who had access to the building at that hour.

Investigators approached Leonard at the Keller Intermediate School and asked him if he knew anything about the missing money. Leonard said he had most of it at his house and hid the rest in his car, according to the report.

Authorities recovered all of the money and took Leonard to jail.
